Applied Linguistics is part of the name of two professional groups, one, “Applied Linguistics for Biblical Languages Group” within the Society of Biblical Literature, and the other, “Applied Linguistics and Biblical Languages” in the Evangelical Theological Society. These are groups of individuals interested in exploring what Second Language Acquisition studies have to offer those teaching the biblical languages.
