Workshop Description: An intermediate Koine Greek language fluency workshop, built around selected texts from the Gospels—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—within a living Koine Greek language environment. This workshop will first utilize TPR (Total Physical Response) which will immerse participants in core vocabulary and structures of the language. Participants will then develop Greek fluency through TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) enabling them to engage and discuss the selected texts in Koine Greek. The workshop will be enhanced by field trips to ancient archeological sites around Jerusalem related to these readings. The teaching staff will facilitate a relaxed learning situation with comprehensible input and clear communication, all in Koine Greek. Lunch will also be shared while speaking Greek.

Accommodations: The workshop will be held at Christ Church and environs in Jerusalem. Workshop participants are responsible for their own lodging in Jerusalem.

Meals: Workshop participants are responsible for their own meals in Jerusalem.  For lunch, participants can bring their own food or purchase meals in the Christ Church Coffee Shop. Depending on choice, menu prices range from $4 to $15. The workshop will end everyday at 4:00 pm prior to dinner time when participants are free to eat wherever they choose.
