BLC’s Greek curriculum applies Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) in order to teach Greek in a way that is both efficient and enjoyable. In short, Greek will be taught in Greek! Learn to introduce yourself in Greek and describe a typical Greco-Roman school day routine. Such authentic, real-life communication will greatly increase your fluency and competency in Koiné Greek. Picture lesson videos provide incremental, comprehensible input that rapidly increases your vocabulary. In this course, participants learn the Greek alphabet, and begin learning to read Greek with immediate comprehension and not via translation. They also learn to actively control about 130 lexemes in roughly 250 inflected forms, and will demonstrate a working knowledge of the following grammatical topics: nouns—nominative, genitive, dative, and accusative (sing.); verbs—present tense indicative (sing.) and imperatives (act. sing.); prepositional phrases; definite article (sing.); adjectives (sing.); personal pronouns (sing.).

Enjoy your studies!
