The online resource, produced by Biblical Language Center, is used by our instructors to supplement your Greek learning in GRK101C.

To register for the class and access this resource, click “Add to Cart” and then “Checkout” (in the right column).  In the check-out process, please be sure to use a correct email address.  Proceed until you click the button “Place Order.”  You will first receive an email that your order has been received. Then, if this is your first order with us, you will receive another email with the subject “Biblical Language Center Online: New user account” after several hours.  This will provide 1) the URL where you will be able to access the online material, 2) your user name required to login, and 3) a temporary password that you will be asked to change when you first login.

Prerequisite: Beginning Koiné Greek, Level B

Greek Level C introduces increasingly complex verb forms that expand your ability to talk about everyday activities. Language tasks such as getting oneself washed up and dressed in preparation for a dinner party as well as throwing a dinner party are taken from ancient Greek-Latin conversation manuals (details here) in order to provide authentic language communication. New Testament texts that parallel the vocabulary and language structures learned in the curriculum will be introduced. Participants learn approximately 100 lexemes in roughly 370 inflected forms and demonstrate a working knowledge of the following grammatical topics: verbs—present middle/passive indicative (sing. & pl.), imperatives (mid./pass. sing. & pl.) with an increased emphasis on the semantic distinction between active and middle/passive forms, periphrastic constructions with perfect passive participles (e.g., ἐνδεδυμένος εἰμί), and infinitives with an emphasis on the aspectual distinction between present and aorist forms.
